Victorinox Apprentice Reborn - SAK Mod -Took a Waiter body and Tinker phillips and re-created the no-longer-produced Apprentice. The perfect slim EDC knife.
I know the "Waiter" is 84mm, but doesn't the "Tinker" have a 84mm & 91mm version? If so do they have the same size Phillips Screwdriver? (just wondering because I thought the "Tinker" in these Pics looks a bit bigger than the "Waiter"
UPDATE: The Phillips Screwdriver from a 91mm SAK is the same as from an 84mm SAK. The tools on the back of the knife are interchangeable, But the other tools are not interchangeable.
The 84mm SAK uses all 2.2mm Rivets while the 91mm SAK uses 2.2mm Rivets in the middle section of the knife BUT 2.5mm Rivets holding the tools at either end of the knife.
I took a Screwdriver from a 91mm Tinker so the extra width of the knife allowed me to use it's Rivet to install into the 84mm Waiter (now Apprentice), saving time on Peening both ends of a brass rod to make a new Rivet.
